It’s a principle I whole-heartedly believe in.
It’s actually something I’m working on very intensely lately; every night I’ve been writing, journalling, doing SOMETHING that contributes to the progression of my personal mental health and life goals.
Along with that have been multiple nights of meditation, so this is a happy outcome! There were a few nights I did not, due to going out with friends for birthdays, celebrating big events (my friend made a Netflix show! Wanna watch? Search “Medal of Honor”), date nights with my beloved, etc. etc….
However, I’ve maintained the amount of meditating, and both my beloved and I have been meditating together and basking in the mutual peace. That’s been a very encouraging thing for us, and I think having the partnership helps both of us get excited about doing something together.
It’s kinda like working out, you know? Except instead of working the biceps, we’re working our brains.
GIVE ME THAT SWEET SWEET AMYGDALA SHRINKAGE, BABY.
Date: 11/11
Goal Activity: Meditate at least twice this week.
Goal Attainment Score: 3! It’s building!
Driving Forces: So happy to do it. I’m excited.
Restraining Forces: Late nights keeping up on that social life, you know.
Possible Actions to Overcome/Enhance Forces: Chris and I are meditating together, and that’s amazingly encouraging and wonderful. He takes all my yoga classes (perks of being the partner to a yoga teacher) so we’re just adding onto the mix of good things we do together.
